HG Munitions is a corporation home to the Vorxian home system. H-G is known mainly for It's standardized ballistic weaponry before space travel. However, they continued to mass produced ballistic firearms to civilian and insurgent customers as far as the USK-Tethyn Conflict.
They produce firearms ranging from single hand to mounted turrets. With ammunition from 19x9mm to 12.7x99mm their purposes certainly are well ranged. HG Munitions eventually is forced to end most of their personal firearms and ammunitions because of the large transition to other forms of weaponry. After that they largely produced weapons and ammunition for ships of all sizes.
After the Erravi Conflict it was obvious the USK needed better firepower and the corporation was ready to produce missiles that would later be categorized as class 3 and 4. This improvement was tremendous. Likewise, they began producing better miniguns to compete with the ones the USK had been using. With a higher rate of fire, less cooling time and a high caliber it was an easy choice.
The corporation continued this policy until contact with the Tethyns was made. One of the major achievements in this corporation's history was to assist the Shadow Guard in covert operations. See Operation EEGI
HG makes ammunition for most ships and personal weapons alike.
HG partnered with the SG in secret to create the potential for large scale sabotage of Tethyn weaponry. The operation was complex on very many levels, HG played the role of a large weapons manufacturer that provided the Tethyn Empire a cheaper way of producing their ammunition and personal weapons. These factories were inside Tethyn space and manned by Tethyn Empire citizens. The result was a very widespread failure of weapons and ammunition flaws resulting in deaths and explosions. These malfunctions were a result of a microscopic chip that the SG could activate. After Operation ERV- Eldrin's Revenge- the Tethyn Empire figured it out very quickly and removed the chips.
Missile Systems[]
The M12 RGP was a class 3 directional missile tube system that was deployed on larger craft early in Vorxian and USK history. Though the Automated and compact version was more common the drawbacks of the automated missile system was it was easily fooled by thermal signatures and could be tricked into targeting friendlies without any safety measures. It could also be remotely accessed and a control terminal on the turret could be used to disable it as well.
